Meera

Meera Yegnaraman is a visual artist specialising in mixed media, a dancer and a poet. Her practice is rooted in intuitive processes and explores inner landscapes, emotions, and cultural identity through layered surfaces. Having grown up in India and now based in Ireland, her work is influenced by influences from Eastern traditions. After working in accounting, Meera transitioned into the arts. Her background also includes Indian classical dancing. She began her career in visual arts by establishing an afterschool art club for children, as she was already teaching dance, it seemed like a natural extension into creative education. She is now exploring integrating her visual art work with her writing.
